It has been awhile.

We haven't hosted a work group in St. Louis since the pandemic began. This week we hosted our first work group in over a year. We had a group visit from First UMC Tulsa. We have a long standing relationship with this church. They first visited nearly ten years ago. Since then they have sent several groups to help us in our work. 

This group arrived for the hottest week of the year so far. We saw temps in the upper 90's for the three days they were here. The group went all over our neighborhood cleaning up illegal dumping sites and clearing overgrown lots. They ministered to many of the widows that are part of our Community Pastoral Care Network. They cleaned gutters and fence lines and bore the heat of the day to serve.

We greatly appreciate it when people sacrifice so much to care for us and our community. Thank you First UMC Tulsa for your faithful service.
