The Narrow Gate has been a part of our ministry since 2008. You could say it's in our DNA. When we started the Narrow Gate it was something our missionaries did. Now we are redesigning the project to incorporate volunteers and partner ministries in a more intentional way.
It is complicated to work with the homeless, addicted and formerly incarcerated. We have learned a lot since we first started the project. Now we want to help others learn how to help the most needy people in our society. Our missionaries will still run the Narrow Gate but now they will also focus on training and equipping you to help. We have developed a training track to allow you to participate at the level of involvement that fits you. If you desire to do more, we will train you.
We have also developed a way to involve partner ministries in the project. Your church or non-profit can refer people to the Narrow Gate and assign someone from your ministry to walk through the process with your referred participant. We have developed training to help your referring partner to become skilled at working through the issues commonly encountered while working through the struggles these participants experience.
If you are interested in learning more you can attend one of our upcoming Narrow Gate volunteer meetings. Look for them on the events page. Or use the contact page to get in touch with us. I think that together we can help many people to get free from their past and live full and productive lives.
