New Facility

Thanks to a generous donation from Tim Helbling and G. W. Helbling & Sons, Sun Ministries has a new facility in Hyde Park. The building is commercially zoned and will provide us a base of operations for our work in Hyde Park
The approximately 4200 square foot building was used as a silk screen manufacturing facility since the 1960's. It has a woodworking shop, work table space, office and meeting space. We are in the process of doing any repairs needed to bring the building up to code. Once that is complete, we can use it as a place to bring in volunteer work crews and store our equipment. We plan to offer training and assistance to bring jobs into the Hyde Park area and help residents start small businesses.
The building was occupied and in use up until the day of the donation. It has been occupied by the Helbling family business for 35 years. We greatly appreciate this donation and plan to utilize this building to bring renewal to the Hyde Park area.
